"I started classical percussion training when I was 9 and immediately became engrossed in hitting things. I kept that up seriously through high school, but because I was always better at learning by ear than I was at reading music, I shifted gears and got my degree in jazz drumming from NYU in 2011. I thrive most when working with projects that are both musically strange and familiar. Some bands that I have worked with: Son Lux, Landlady, Body Language, Matthew Dear, People Get Ready, Brazos, Vacationer, Father Figures, 2001, Lip Talk."
